Tarrant County cuts ties with youth justice program over perceived political stances
Tarrant County won’t renew its contract with a youth justice nonprofit because of concerns over initiatives the program mentions on its website. The county’s juvenile board voted Wednesday not to renew its contract with Youth Advocate Programs, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram first reported. Tarrant County has partnered with the local branch of the Pennsylvania-based, nonpartisan nonprofit since 1992.

FORT WORTH — A baby was found dead in an apartment complex dumpster on Sunday evening, Fort Worth police say.The unidentified baby was found in a dumpster at La Hacienda Apartments on the 4700 block of Norma Street. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not released any information on the age or sex of the child. Fort Worth police say no arrests have been made, and they have not released any identification for the child.
