Police Reports: Residential burglaries, three cars flee police

These reports were pulled from the latest police summaries provided by departments in our coverage area (Wilmette, Winnetka, Highland Park, Northfield, Kenilworth and Glencoe).

WILMETTE

March 24

• A wallet reportedly was stolen from a customer’s purse between noon and 12:32 p.m. at Jewel, 411 Green Bay Road.

• An unlocked bicycle reportedly was stolen from the 1200 block of Green Bay Road.

March 21

• A home reportedly was broken into between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. in the 400 block of Wilshire Drive East. A basement window reportedly was broken to gain entry.

March 20

• A mailed check reportedly was stolen, altered and cashed.

WINNETKA

March 24

• An unlocked bicycle reportedly was stolen from the 7-11 at 88 Green Bay Road.

March 23

• A briefcase and laptop reportedly were stolen overnight from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 1300 block of Westmoor Trail.

March 21

• Light fixtures, door knobs and window panels reportedly were stolen between Jan. 1-March 21 from a home in the 600 block of Sheridan Road.

March 19

• A resident reportedly paid $1,200 or home repairs that were not completed.

GLENCOE

March 17

• Five individuals in facemasks in three cars reportedly fled the scene when approached by police officers in Greenwood and Park avenues. Police reportedly later discovered one of the cars was stolen out of Highland Park.

HIGHLAND PARK

March 13

• Vehicles reportedly were ransacked when Gerber Collission and Glass, 1325 Park Avenue West, was broken into.

• Three iPads reportedly were stolen from Target, 2099 Skokie Valley Road.

NORTHFIELD

KENILWORTH
