Wishing you and yours a happy, safe and relaxing holiday and if you are fortunate, long and fun weekend.

The forecast for today in the Wilmington area is a mix of clouds and sun, and hot and humid with a chance of a strong thunderstorm in the afternoon. Plan accordingly.

If you’re still getting your plans together, here are some stories that may help:

    And now the news …

Delaware renters in need rescued by this premier team

The Premier Rapid Housing Placement Team helps low-to-moderate-income renters find affordable housing.

More landlords are working with the team and accepting Section 8 recipients.

Determined to move out of her old apartment, Sheila B. Dobson went to the Wilmington Housing Authority where she met the Premier Rapid Housing Placement Team.

To learn more about the team, those they aid and how they helped Dobson, read Anitra Johnson’s story here.
