The Grammy Award-winning guitarist Kingfish shreds like Freddy Kreuger slicing through a block of cheddar cheese on "Hell's Kitchen" with Gordon Ramsay.

The blues star has captivated fans both in person and online with performance videos buzzing on social media. A decade ago, as a teenager, Kingfish displayed his extraordinary talent through videos on his YouTube channel.

A leading figure in today's blues scene, he's garnered coverage from the Washington Post, Rolling Stone, the New York Times and others. The bluesman also appeared on Elton John's "Rocket Hour" podcast.

Kingfish, now 25, began his journey in Clarksdale, Mississippi, 10 miles from the legendary Highways 61 and 49. The blues star was born into a family of musicians and singers and fell in love with music as a young kid, starting with bass and drums.

When he got his first guitar, he quickly soaked up music by legendary guitarists like Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Jimi Hendrix and Prince.

Before graduating high school, Kingfish already had performed at the White House for first lady Michelle Obama, and he toured the country and abroad.

Kingfish made waves in the First State when he played the Saint Georges Blues Festival in 2019. He also showed out in South Jersey at the XPoNential Music Festival in 2019 and 2021.

His self-titled debut album, which he dropped in 2019, earned him his first Grammy nomination. Kingfish's sophomore album, "662," landed him his first Grammy win in 2022. The album's title is a nod to the area code of his hometown in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

The artist's latest Grammy nomination came for his third album, "Live in London," a project that was recorded in London in 2023 in front of a sold-out, sweaty crowd at the famous UK club The Garage.
