    Hey, there, First Staters.

I hope your weekend is off to a great start.

Today in the Wilmington area it is expected to be a glorious 85 degrees with a mix of clouds and sunshine.

Love baseball? The Phillies take on the Pirates again at 6:40 p.m. tonight and 1:35 p.m. Sunday.

To me, nothing says Saturday morning like a farmer market and there is no better time than mid-July to enjoy fresh sweet corn, juicy peaches and perfect, vine-ripened tomatoes. If you want to gather up all that natural goodness, here are some options:

Look for photos from this week’s Glasgow Farmers Market today on Delaware Online.

The Delaware State Fair is underway, and if you and your family plan to hit the midway, we want you to be armed with all the info you need to have maximum fun. Be sure to keep checking back for updates, full coverage, including ride inspection info, and plenty of photos from the fairgrounds.

And now more local news …

Grain in Wilmington's Trolley Square closing doors Aug. 4, getting new concept

Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen in Wilmington's Trolley Square is closing its doors on Aug. 4 after a 2-year run and owners plan to change the concept, reports Patricia Talorico.

“The 1709 Delaware Ave. restaurant, a part of the city's Forty Acres neighborhood, is best known as the location of the former Scratch MaGoo's,’’ she writes. “It became Grain Trolley in spring 2022.

“The Wilmington site is part of the string of Grain restaurants operating throughout the state and Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, that are owned by Hockessin neighbors-turned-restaurateurs Lee Mikles and Jim O'Donoghue.

“Mikles said he and O'Donoghue aren't saying goodbye to the Wilmington location. They plan to reimagine and reconfigure the snug space with a different theme.’’
