CHICAGO (AP) — Storms spawning multiple tornado reports blew through Iowa, Illinois — including Chicago — and Indiana on Monday, downing trees and power poles and cutting power to more than 460,000 customers and businesses. A woman in Indiana died after a tree fell onto a home, authorities said.

Driver dead after semi-trailer rollover on Interstate 80 at Kedzie Avenue in south suburbs
A semi-trailer rollover on Interstate 80 near Kedzie Avenue in Hazel Crest killed one person Tuesday morning, according to Illinois State Police. At about 4:30 a.m., the tractor-trailer being driven east went down an embankment off the roadway and overturned onto Kedzie Avenue, police said in a statement Tuesday morning. State police responded and pronounced the driver dead.

Driver killed after semi flips off of I-80: ISP
HAZEL CREST (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A semi-truck driver was killed early Tuesday morning after losing control and rolling off of I-80. According to Illinois State Police, the accident occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m., in the eastbound lanes of I-80. A truck-tractor semi-trailer veered off the road, fell down an embankment and then overturned onto Kedzie Avenue.
