    Most likely, yes.

Storm Team 2 meteorologist Melissa Barrington said Thursday will be very warm and humid, with periods of showers and storms.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio, concurs.

What the National Weather Service forecasts

According to NWS , Independence Day day will have an 80 percent chance of rain and/or thunderstorms, with the chance peaking between 2-5 p.m.

The possibility of showers and thunderstorms continues into the evening, where the NWS says the Miami Valley has a 60 percent chance of precipitation. The odds peak before 11 p.m., when both showers and thunderstorms are called “likely.” After then, it drops to using “possibly” and “chance of.”

Plan your day and evening accordingly!
