Water Main Break - Barre/Main Street Intersection
10:00 am - On July 23rd. 2024 the Department of Public Works was notified that there was a water leak at the intersection of Main Street and Barre Street. Staff was able to confirm that the leak is on the 14” water main that runs along Barre Street. To make the repair staff will have to turn off the water along the northern side (even address numbers) of Barre Street from Main Street to Granite Street so that they can cut out the poor section of pipe and replace it with a new one. We anticipate most customers along the southern side of Barre Street (odd address numbers) to not be impacted by this shutdown.
