Woman Charged With Stealing State Funds For Foster Kids To Make First Court Appearance Thursday
PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Iowa woman accused of stealing over one-point-eight million dollars intended for the care of foster children in South Dakota is scheduled to appear in court Thursday in Pierre to address those charges. South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says 68-year-old Lonna Carroll has been indicted on two counts of Aggravated Grand Theft. Carroll is a former Department of Social Services employee who retired to Iowa last year. The South Dakota Legislatures’ Government Operations and Audit Committee is making a formal request to review the situation. CHARLESTON, S.C. – Sonepar announced Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Echo Electric Supply Company. Family-owned and operated since 1950, Echo Electric supplies electrical parts, equipment and services to contractors in the industrial, commercial and residential markets and ranked in the top 30 of Electrical Wholesaling’s 2024 list of the largest electrical distributors in North America.
