Multiple Baton Rouge oyster spots join shell recycling program to help coastline
BATON ROUGE - Several Baton Rouge oyster restaurants are joining the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana's is Oyster Shell Recycling Program. The program was first established in 2014. Restaurants with the program discard their shells in bins that are picked up by a contractor several times a week. The shell is transported to a curing site, and placed into mesh bags.

BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Community College hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new on-campus restaurant Tre’s Street Kitchen Friday afternoon. Tre’s Street Kitchen has specialized in on-campus dining for the Greater Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas since 2020. The opening comes just two weeks after the beginning of BRCC’s fall semester.
