    Wanted man out of Lenoir, Jones counties arrested in Wilson on multiple charges

    WILSON, N.C. (WNCT) — A man who had failed to register as a sex offender in Jones County was arrested Tuesday in Wilson.

    Detectives with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office found John Anthony Rouse, 52, at a home on N.C. Highway 111. Wilson County deputies and Lenoir County detectives searched the home and found Rouse in it.

    Rouse was taken into custody and jailed under a $31,000 secured bond in the Lenoir County Detention Center. He is charged with:

    • Felony obtaining property by false pretense (Lenoir County)
    • Felony failure to register as a sex offender (Jones County)
    • Failure to appear in court, solicit by computer (Lenoir County)
    • Failure to appear in court – possession of methamphetamine (Lenoir County)
    • Failure to appear in court – unsealed wine/liquor in passenger area (Lenoir County)
