OPINION: What you should know about Frog Pond East and South plans

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the individuals who have played a crucial role in shaping the Frog Pond East & South Master Plan, a visionary document for two future Wilsonville neighborhoods. This plan was adopted by the City Council in December 2022. It reflected significant community input, including the 2015 Frog Pond Area Plan. The Frog Pond East and South neighborhoods are projected to be comprised of approximately 48-50% single-family homes, up to 10-15% multi-family homes and a diverse range of middle housing, much of it "for sale" townhomes. No housing type in the Frog Pond East or South area will be allowed to exceed 50% of the total buildout.

The Frog Pond East and South plan is a testament to our community's efforts to build thoughtful neighborhoods with a variety of housing types and price points that welcome people at all stages of their lives.

The plan reflects the values in the city’s Equitable Housing Strategic Plan, adopted in 2020 by the prior City Council. It also complies with the state Legislature’s middle housing legislation, known as House Bill 2001.
