A suspected drunk driver crashed through the front doors of Chipotle in Town Center, according to a press release.

Bethlhem Degfe, a 27-year-old from Donald, was arrested on Monday, May 20 on charges of first- and second-degree criminal mischief, failure to perform driver duties when property is damaged, reckless driving, reckless endangering and driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Degfe allegedly crashed into several parking lot light fixtures before hitting Chipotle’s front doors, the press release said. Degfe fled the area despite community members’ attempts to intervene, then struck another car in the parking lot of Evergreen Child Development Center.

Degfe attempted to flee again on foot, but was contacted by concerned bystanders before law enforcement arrived and took them into custody, according to the press release.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with additional information on the case to contact its tip line by phone at 503-732-4949 or through the online email form here.
