Representatives from the Wilsonville Police Department and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue might visit your neighborhood as part of the National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

NNO is an annual campaign aimed at building relationships between the community and police. Neighborhoods across the country will host community events with safety demonstrations, visits from emergency personnel, youth events and more.

According to the city website, Wilsonville residents can consider hosting an event and request a visit from representatives of local law enforcement and TVF&R through the city.

Wilsonville communications and marketing manager Bill Evans said in an email that the city typically receives five to eight form submissions each year. He added that the Wilsonville Meadows, Canyon Creek Estates, Fountain Lakes, Stafford Meadows and Charbonneau neighborhoods have already submitted requests.

Event visits can be scheduled between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6. Residents can fill out a form on the city website to request a visit. Forms are due Friday, July 26.

The form, along with more information, can be found on the city’s website .
