Wilsonville Spokesman wins 13 awards in state journalism contest

The Wilsonville Spokesman took home 13 awards in the 2024 Better Newspapers Contest organized by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association.

The honors included recognition for reporting, photography, design, special sections and more. To be eligible, entries had to be from the calendar year of 2023.

“We do our jobs to serve the community, not win awards,” said Wilsonville Spokesman editor Patrick Malee. “But it is always nice to be reminded that I work with some of the best journalists in Oregon. I am very proud of everyone on our staff.”
