    Coach: David Barkley

2023 results: First at the Northwest Oregon Conference district meet

2024 team: Senior Jadyn Kipe (sixth at the 2023 NWOC district meet and 24th at state), senior Sophie Dyer (ninth at district, 69th at state), junior Cleo Christie, freshman Georgia Black, freshman Alix Koehler.

2024 outlook: The Wildcats are the returning champions, but know they’ll be tested during the coming 2024 campaign.

“We are defending champions for league, (but) we will need to (attend to) our details this year,” said Wilsonville coach David Barkley. “La Salle and Hood River are returning a lot of good athletes (and) Canby seems greatly improved.”

Team leaders: Jadyn Kipe returns to lead the Wildcats after earning all-NWOC and all-state honors a year ago, joined by fellow varsity returners Sophie Dyer and Cleo Christie.

While Kipe, Dyer and Christie are the known elements on this year’s team, there’s more talent on hand, too, including “several new runners that could really emerge as we go,” Barkley added.

2024 NWOC Contenders: Wilsonville, La Salle, Hood River, Canby.
