Bradford Sandoval, a local restaurant owner, has been hailed a hero after his daring rescue of a distressed swimmer on the American River. On June 25, amid the currents and murk of El Manto Clay Banks, Sandoval took immediate action when he was alerted to a perilous situation—two individuals had disappeared beneath the water's surface and had not emerged. According to a Facebook post by the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Sandoval located one of the missing swimmers and brought him up to safety.
