Davenport dedicates new Fairmount Community Center
Davenport welcomed a new community center after 15 months of construction. Managers of the Fairmount Community Center celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony with city leaders and members of the community on hand. Funds from the American Rescue Plan helped pay for the $3.6 million project. The building will be used primarily as a space for events to bring people together. The facility will be open for pop up events until a full-time staff is in place.
