The Hill Country Community Band will present their first concert of the year, “Feste Italiana”, on February 18 at 4 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Wimberley. Directed by Dr. Manuel Arambula, this free and family-friendly program will include “some Italian blockbusters” such as “The Pines of Rome” by Ottorino Respighi, and transcribed by Guy M. Duker, “Nessum Dorma”, an aria from the final act of Puccini’s opera Turandot and one of the best-known tenor arias in all opera, and “Florentiner March”, an Italian Grand March, by Julius Fucik, Op.214, and edited by John R. Bourgeois.

Mark your calendars for future 2024 HCCB concert dates; April 14, June 2, and of course, July 4 with the Wimberley Community Chorus.

The First Baptist Church of Wimberley is located at 15951 Winters Mill Parkway. The Hill Country Community Band is a 501C3 non-profit organization whose musicians are volunteers from the Central Texas area.
