HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A woman and two children were severely injured in a single vehicle crash on July 15. Hopkinsville EMS responded to the wreck Monday evening in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Vaughns Grove – Little River Road. Initial reports from EMS said multiple people were ejected from the vehicle.

Nashville Detective Wounded, Murder Suspect Shot as Arrest Attempt Erupts into Gunfire in Madison
Source: Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee. A confrontation in a Madison apartment complex parking lot escalated to gunfire yesterday as a Nashville detective was wounded while serving a first-degree murder indictment, according to a report by the Nashville Police Department. Detective Carlos Diaz, a recent transfer from the New York Police Department, sustained a non-life-threatening injury to his leg when homicide suspect Miqueal Williams resisted arrest and opened fire. Williams, wanted for the murder of Samuel Edwards Jr. in March, was also shot in the hip during the altercation and both he and Diaz are being treated at Skyline Medical Center.

Corina Garcia pushes mother during argument
28-year-old Corina Garcia was involved in a domestic altercation with her mother, Jessica Reeves, at their Power Street residence on June 22nd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Reeves, who stated that while she and Garcia were arguing, Garcia pushed her to the ground. Reeves had abrasions on her arm caused by the fall that officers observed was consistent with her statement of being pushed. Garcia was not at the residence when officers arrived, and officers were unable to contact her, so a warrant was issued. Garcia was later found and taken into custody for domestic assault on July 2nd.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing juvenile. Greyson Lee Ritchie's last known location was Oak Grove Road on Sunday afternoon. The 16-year-old is described as a white male, five feet, ten inches tall, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, wearing dark colored shorts and a light colored shirt.
