Annual Event Raises Funds for ALS Connecticut Research
Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), joined forces with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey for the fourth consecutive year to support ALS United Connecticut. This year’s campaign culminated in a fundraiser hosted at Milford’s Stonebridge Restaurant on June 6. Coinciding with National ALS Awareness Month in May and Lou Gehrig Day on June 2, the event featured Skrewball tastings, signature cocktails, live music and giveaways while honoring friends and gathering donations. ALS is often linked to Lou Gehrig’s disease. “This cause is deeply personal to CDI in memory of their beloved associates, Tim Considine and Jay Rice, who both passed away from ALS,” said Maura Tancredi, Vice President, Human Resources, CDI. “Tim and Jay were integral to CDI, with Tim serving for 26 and a half years and Jay for 12 years. Their legacies live on through their commitment to ALS awareness and support.” The fundraiser directly benefited those in Connecticut affected by ALS, raising a total of $625, adding to the SkrewALS initiative’s three-year total of $11,700.
