A 34-year-old Trenton man was charged with obstruction of justice, hindering apprehension and failure to wear a seat belt after the car he was a passenger in was stopped by police for having an expired registration on Route 33 May 10. The man was also found to have an outstanding warrant from another town and gave police officers a false name. He was processed and released.

The East Windsor Township Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting that had a use variance application for a warehouse on Mercer Street on its agenda has been cancelled. The Zoning Board was slated to listen to continued testimony on May 18 from applicant 624 East Windsor Hi-Tech Associates LLC, which wants to build a 209,000-square-foot warehouse on part of a 26.5-acre lot at 624 Mercer St.

A 50-year-old Staten Island, N.Y., man was charged with eluding police after a police officer attempted to stop him for an equipment violation on Route 130 April 27. The motor vehicle stop was called off after the driver allegedly disregarded the emergency lights and siren on the patrol car. The driver was later identified and charged on a complaint summons. He was additionally charged with maintenance of lamps, obstructing traffic and using a handheld cellphone.
