The annual Bomplenazo celebration returns to downtown Springfield

Cigna launches $9M health equity fund
The Cigna Group will allocate $9 million toward health equity initiatives over three years. The Cigna Group Health Equity Impact Fund will provide $9 million to target health disparities in specific communities. Houston and Hartford, Conn. will be the first communities to receive funding, according to a July 22 news release.

MANCHESTER, Conn — A hot summer has kept a busy pace for the 60 lifeguards working at the five public swimming areas in Manchester. In addition to their usual job of looking over the pools in town, the lifeguards are put to the test. Every summer, the recreation department in Manchester collaborates with the fire department, the police department and the Ambulance Service of Manchester to put on “Live Audits” for the town lifeguards.
