According to police, on Thursday, July 11, Braintree Police Detectives arrested three individuals on various charges in connection with a conspiracy to commit residential burglaries. The suspects appear to be connected to an organized International Theft Group. Also known as South American Theft Groups, these groups are known to use extensive surveillance, GPS technology, surreptitious video feeds, and counter- surveillance to establish patterns of behavior for their prospective victims.

Two Massachusetts lottery players came forward on Thursday to each claim $1 million prizes — and one was from the Lottery’s “Monopoly” game. Massachusetts lawmakers call on the Pentagon to ground the Osprey again until crash causes are fixed
WASHINGTON (AP) — Three Massachusetts lawmakers are pressing Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to ground the V-22 Osprey aircraft again until the military can fix the root causes of multiple recent accidents, including a deadly crash in Japan. In a letter sent to Austin on Thursday, Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey and Rep. Richard Neal called the decision to return Ospreys to limited flight status “misguided.” In March, Naval Air Systems Command said the aircraft had been approved to return to limited flight operations, but only with tight restrictions in place that currently keep it from doing some of the aircraft carrier, amphibious transport and special operations missions it was purchased for. The Osprey’s joint program office within the Pentagon has said those restrictions are likely to remain in place until mid-2025. The Ospreys had been grounded military-wide for three months following a horrific crash in Japan in November that killed eight Air Force Special Operations Command service members.

Special needs performing arts camp seeks children to participate
People with disabilities are often excluded from the world of performing arts. Michael Pizzi, actor and occupational therapist, set out to change that. Since 2007, his nonprofit Touching Humanity has used the performing arts and education to promote disability awareness and social and occupational justice for people with disabilities. This August, Pizzi is partnering with Barrington Stage’s education department to run a special needs performing arts camp for children with disabilities, aged 12 to 18.
