Every July 14th I have the urge to throw on a beret, grab a hand-full of baguettes, and drink so much French wine. This day of French independence is a homage to the storming of the Bastille that took place on July 14, 1789, where a violent uprising occurred and helped to usher in the French Revolution. The Bastille was a military fortress and prison, and was demolished after the famous storming. Tomorrow we will raise a glass in honor, speak all the French we can muster, and ring in a joyous year for France which has them only weeks away from hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics in the amazing city of Paris. Here are three places to celebrate Bastille Day tomorrow in Southern California.
