One Seriously Injured in Daytime Shooting in South Charlotte Neighborhood
A somber pall descended upon a quiet neighborhood in south Charlotte this past Sunday when gunfire shattered the day's peace, leaving one person seriously injured. The incident, which occurred shortly after noon on Benjamin Street, prompted a significant emergency response. According to WBTV, the victim was swiftly transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained during the episode.

CHARLOTTE -- I submitted my Preseason All-ACC ballot, which includes Preseason Player of the Year and Predicted Order of Finish, on Tuesday morning. Voting is limited to media who are credentialed for the ACC Kickoff. Voting began on Monday, July 22, and will conclude on Sunday, July 28. The Order of Finish will be announced on Wednesday, July 31. The Preseason All-ACC Team and Player of the Year will be announced on Thursday, Aug. 1.
