Woman arrested and charged with shooting boyfriend in Columbus County
COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – A woman has been arrested and charged in connection to the shooting of her boyfriend in Columbus County on Saturday, July 14. Per the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a gunshot wound report at 500 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, at about 10 p.m.

Pender County nonprofit getting closer to moving into new location
HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — A Pender County non-profit is in the process of moving to a new location to better serve those in need. Share The Table is an organization that provides free community meals and a food pantry. They give away more than 1,000 meals to people in Pender and Onslow County per week. The faith-based organization is in the process of moving to a larger location in Hampstead off Highway 17 on Perkins Drive. The new location will allow them to offer more services, such as education and cooking classes. Dawn Ellis, the nonprofit’s Executive Director said she’s excited they’re going to be able to help more people.
