Explore More Illinois, RAILS’ online cultural and recreational pass program for Illinois libraries, welcomes back for the 2024 season, the Chicago Red Stars in Bridgeview!. Established in 2007, the Red Stars were a founding member of the former Women’s Professional Soccer and would later become one of the original eight teams to form the National Women’s Soccer League in 2013. The Red Stars have made the playoffs in six consecutive years from 2015-2020, clinching the team’s first appearance in the NWSL Championship in the 2019 season as well as appearing in the NWSL’s Challenge Cup Final in 2020.

Starved Rock Country Community Foundation Backs New Montessori School in Ottawa
Three-to-six-year-old kids in Ottawa are a step closer to getting a jump start on their futures. The Starved Rock Country Community Foundation has announced its plan to sponsor the Trinity Rose Montessori School of Ottawa. The school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. It will be led by Suzannah Walter, a veteran teacher of the Montessori approach.
Teen accused in multiple burglaries takes plea deal
The Beloit teen accused of burglarizing Robinson Elementary School and Community Health Services in the same night takes a plea deal in Rock County Court. Tuesday morning 19-year-old Jordan Njos plead guilty to two counts of burglary in the two separate cases. An additional charge of theft was dismissed but read into the record.
