DA announces dispositions in theft cases
District Attorney Billy Joe Harrington announced the dispositions in three felony theft cases. Matthew Robinson, 20 of Natchitoches, violated the terms of his probation. In 2022, Robinson originally pleaded guilty to theft. The theft related to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to felony probation, with several terms and conditions in which he must adhere. In April 2024, a probation revocation hearing was held due to Robinson accused of violating the terms of his probation. Judge Sylvester ruled Robinson was in violation and ordered him to serve the original sentence of 10 years of incarceration at hard labor.

A former LSU offensive lineman has announced a new transfer destination. Kardell Thomas signed with LSU out of Southern Lab High School in Baton Rouge.
