A national fitness studio has opened a location in Columbia. City officials helped welcome Hotworx Fitness Studio with a ribbon cutting ceremony at its location at 4464 Devine St., Suite G. At-Large City Councilwoman Dr. Aditi Bussells, Columbia Economic Development staff, Chamber of Commerce representatives and Hotworx business owners all gave remarks about the continued growth and investment in Columbia, according to a news release.

Lexington deputies: Two dogs survive ill treatment; they're on the mend

Hot start keeps Post 43 Juniors alive in state tournament
NEWBERRY – A hot start by Fort Mill Post 43 led to a 5-3 win over Golden Strip Post 271 to stay alive in the American Legion Juniors State Tournament at Newberry College. Golden Strip didn’t waste any time scoring a run in the top of the first. Post 43’s pitching struggles started early.
