Urgent Need: Special Olympics Indiana Seeks Coaches
Special Olympics Indiana urgently needs more coaches to support their expanding roster of athletes. Humans have a fundamental need to be around other humans. As a child, I don't think there was any greater emotional pain than being excluded from an activity or game with peers. It's a sting that lingers, and one that can really ding your self-worth. Inclusion matters, as highlighted in the Special Olympics mission statement. The organization has been empowering athletes for decades, specifically those with intellectual disabilities. However, to do that, they need community support and, of course, athletic coaches.
