Winona shops local at Artisans in the Street

WINONA (WKBT) -- An evening of artistry brought creators of all kinds to downtown Winona Friday night.

Artisans in the Street hosted various artists, authors, and vendors for a night of shopping local.

Businesses on 3rd street kept their doors open a little later for some special sales. Live music played in the Garten and a variety of foods were available for patrons.

A candle company owner says local market days are good for business.

"I think doing markets my favorite part is connecting with different people and just starting those conversations and getting to know people a little bit and then those returning customers, like that's ideal for a small business," says Becky Kamrowski, owner of Simply B Candle Co.

The event tonight went from 5-8pm.
