Alliance Bulldogs vs Gordon-Rushville KCOW Radio Coverage
Alliance, Neb. - Week 1 of the 2024 NSAA high school football season is here, and the Alliance Bulldogs will kick off the season with a battle with C-2 Gordon-Rushville. Last year, the Bulldogs defeated the Mustangs 24-20. Alliance will hit the hit with a youth roster that head coach T.D. Stein is very excited to see what they can do on the field. Key returners for the Alliance include Espn Lanik, Jett Herian, Trini Trejo, Cole Stokie and more.
Sidney Opens Season with Win Over Cozad
SIDNEY - The Sidney Red Raiders hosted the Cozad Haymakers and came away with a 22-13 victory. Sidney’s defense kept Cozad in check early, forcing the Haymakers to go three-and-out on their first four possessions. Sidney took advantage, scoring on their first drive with an 11-yard touchdown run by Landon Riddle to take an early 7-0 lead.

Chadron Cross Country Competes In Scottsbluff
The Chadron Cardinals boys and girls cross country teams opened up their season in Scottsbluff on Thursday evening. The boys team had 12 runners in the race and were led by freshman Braylon Branson who ran a 19:10 to pace the Chadron runners, finishing in 15th. Henrich Rider finished 25th with a time of 19:47.
