“Best fireworks in the valley!” Thunder in the Ville is back this weekend

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) The 29th annual Thunder in the Ville is slated for this weekend!

The much anticipated event is Friday June 28th from 4 – 9pm and Saturday June 29th from Noon till the Fireworks at 10PM.

ALL at the Jefferson County Airpark.

There will be food, games, booths, entertainment and, of course, fireworks and even a car show!

Plus a few new things this year!

Organizers say Thunder in The Ville has been a community tradition for years and each year, it brings together car enthusiasts, music lovers, and families for a weekend full of excitement.

“It’s fantastic! It’s great for the community, it’s great for the airport and all the kids. They have a great time and we have a lot of vendors. We have a petting zoo this year, we have bounce houses for the kids, we have a train ride.”

“It’s not just a Wintersville thing. It’s not even just a Jefferson County thing, it’s an entire Ohio Valley thing. It’s a great festival. It’s the best fireworks around, so I think it’s very important. It sheds a lot of light on the airport, sheds a lot of light on the Village of Wintersville, and we’re excited to be back and hopefully it’s better than last year.”

A special treat this year is SVRTA Transit Shuttle will be running on Saturday from noon until the end of the fireworks.

The shuttle will pick you up from:

-Wintersville Krogers

-Village of Wintersville City Building

-Blessed Sacrament Church
