WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — As more people travel throughout the summer, some businesses are feeling the impacts.

Employees at Tiebreakers in Winterville said they haven’t had the best sales since summer began, including less customers than expected during the Fourth of July.

“I think since everybody was kinda out of town, the sales probably weren’t the best,” Manager/Server/Bartender Hannah Matthews said. “We were very slow. So, it was definitely a drastic change.”

Matthews said she hopes football season in August brings more people in and spikes the sales.
