Winterville single vehicle rollover causes hazards on NC 11 South Bypass

WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — On Monday evening, Ayden Fire and Rescue Stations 41 and 42 responded to a motor vehicle collision containing injuries on NC 11 South Bypass.

When they arrived, firefighters found a single vehicle rollover on the Forlines Road overpass where the vehicle was still partially on the guardrail system. The driver of the other vehicle involved was the only occupant inside and was out of the vehicle when first responders arrived.

Firefighters remained on scene while the Bypass was shut down for approximately one hour until the vehicle was removed from the scene and all hazards were cleared.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to ECU Health with non-life threatening injuries.
