Iowa's biggest roster weakness in 2024 comes as no surprise
The Iowa Hawkeyes offense has a lot to prove, both to themselves and the nation. Coming into the season, it's a bit unfair that the Hawkeyes are given so much flack for their lack of offensive production in 2023. Iowa wasn't given much grace that it went nearly the entire season without Cade McNamara at quarterback, instead relying on a guy playing at the FCS level in 2024.

Big Ten primer — Iowa’s greatest football moment
USC goes to Big Ten media days this week in Indianapolis. Let’s get to know our new Big Ten football neighbors. Next up: the Iowa Hawkeyes. Iowa has been a solid and nationally relevant program for most of the past 40 years. Hayden Fry revived the program in the early 1980s after two decades of irrelevance. Kirk Ferentz took the baton from Fry and has kept Iowa relevant the past 25 years, with a BCS bowl win nearly 15 years ago and a few other BCS/New Year’s Six bowl appearances. However, what matters most at Iowa and other Big Ten schools...
Deshaun Lee striving for perfection after starting as a freshman
Freshmen typically don’t start on Phil Parker’s defense, but when veteran players like Cooper DeJean and Jermari Harris missed time, Deshaun Lee filled the void and then some. Lee started six games and the Iowa defense hardly missed a beat. “I was young and not where I want...

IOWA CITY, Iowa-- It's been a year of frustration and change for Iowa quarterback Cade McNamara. The former Michigan starter transferred to Iowa hoping to change the narrative surrounding its offense. That didn't happen for a variety of reasons, but for the second straight year, he wasn't healthy. It was a burden that is capable of breaking some people. Not McNamara.
