DELL PRAIRIE, Wis. -- A Wisconsin Dells man was arrested Thursday night after shooting at a home during an argument, Adams County Sheriff Brent York said Friday.

York said that, just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, the Adams County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about people yelling outside of a home in the 3600 block of 11th Lane in the Town of Dell Prairie. At around the same time, the Juneau County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about people yelling and a gun possibly being fired.

Deputies arrived at the scene and determined that a 24-year-old Wisconsin Dells man had arrived at the home and got into an argument with one of the residents. The argument became physical and the man allegedly attacked the resident.

The resident was able to get away, but the man allegedly grabbed a gun from his vehicle and fired a shot, striking the outside of the home. He then drove away from the home. York said an empty shell casing was found at the scene.

The Juneau County Sheriff's Office found the man later that evening and arrested him. He faces charges of second-degree recklessly endangering safety and disorderly conduct while armed.

News 3 Now is not naming the man at this time as part of a policy not to name people accused of crimes until they have been formally charged in court. Click here to learn more about the policy . He is currently being held in the Adams County Jail.
