WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Kwik Trip customers and visitors to the Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce will have to take different routes to reach them starting Monday as the Lincoln Street reconstruction project extends to East Riverview Expressway.

Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, July 15, the majority of Lincoln Street, between East Riverview Expressway and Chestnut Street, will be closed except for one lane leading to Kwik Trip’s southwest entrance, according to City Engineer Joe Eichsteadt. Drivers exiting the property will be directed to the east exit onto South Sixth Street, then north to Chestnut Street. Drivers may then turn right to reach Eighth Street South, which will lead them back to East Riverview Expressway/State 13.

Visitors to Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce can access the nonprofit organization's parking lot from Dewey Street, by using Cliff Street, according to their Facebook page.

This section of the project is expected to have closures through the beginning of August. Once underground utility work is completed, Kwik Trip’s entrance/exit at Dewey Street will temporarily reopen with a dirt surface until concrete and paving operations begin.

The entire Lincoln Street project is expected to be completed in the beginning of September.
