    Wisconsin Rapids Area CVB has a new home

    The Wisconsin Rapids Area Convention and Visitors Bureau moved to a new home at 160 Second St. N. and celebrated with an open house last month.

    According to a release from the organization, the move offered more space for the CVB to welcome visitors and to house the organization’s growing staff. The CVB moved down the street and across the block to the former Bender Law Office.

    E-Con Electric purchases Current Technologies

    E-Con Electric Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids is expanding after purchasing Current Technologies Inc., based in Port Edwards. E-Con Electric is an electrical contractor offering services in industrial, food and beverage, commercial and residential industries. Beyond electrical services, E-Con Electric offers fiber, data, industrial controls, fire alarm, security and HVAC controls installations.

    According to a release from E-Con Electric, all operations will be consolidated at E-Con Electric’s newly expanded facility on State 54, just east of Wisconsin Rapids.

    Greg Hartjes, E-Con Electric’s vice president, said Current Technologies has served the area for the last couple of decades, building strong relationships with its customers and general contractors throughout the state. E-Con Electric is committed to maintaining and strengthening those relationships and partnerships in the future.

    Fey Printing awarded Best of Show

    Fey Printing was awarded the 2024 Best in Show award from the Great Lakes Graphics Association, focusing on Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.

    Fey Printing won for its items produced for Rivage Bal Harbour, a luxury condo development in Miami.

    According to Fey Printing’s announcement , the Great Lakes Graphics Association collects a panel of independent judges with experience in printing and production. The panel of judges then looks at all aspects of a products, including precise registration, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink, difficulty of printing and visual impact.

    This year is the company’s fifth time receiving the association’s highest honor, including awards in 2012, 2014, 2019 and 2021.
