'It’s just fun being here.' Former Gov. Scott Walker, Wisconsin delegation, enjoy last night of RNC

MILWAUKEE — As delegates danced around to Kid Rock’s performance of a modified version of his song “American Badass,” former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker excitedly pulled out his phone to film the show.

“It’s just fun being here,” Walker said after the performance, just before Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White introduced former President Donald Trump. Trump went on to formally accept the Republican Party’s nomination for president in the coming November election.

With the convention being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s delegation was given a priority spot on the convention floor near the stage. Walker was assigned one of the front seats in the delegation’s section.

“We’ve just had a wonderful time here in Wisconsin, the great convention, as well as an exciting time this evening,” he said.

“It’s great to see so many good friends here in Wisconsin, a lot of folks I’ve known from around the country. People who knew us from the time when we were taking on big challenges here and winning … big elections.”
