Vice President Kamala Harris has erased former President Donald Trump’s lead in several swing states, according to a new poll by Bloomberg News and Morning Consult.

Since President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 race, and the successful launch of Harris’ own presidential campaign, Trump has lost his leads in Nevada, Arizona, and Wisconsin.

Harris also “more than doubled Biden’s lead over Trump in Michigan,” closed in on Trump’s lead in Georgia (where both candidates are currently at 47%), and went up in polls in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

In Bloomberg’s poll of all swing states combined, Harris erased Trump’s lead and is currently sitting at one percent higher than the former president.

While Bloomberg reported that “the numbers suggest Harris has a shot at reassembling the voter coalition that propelled President Barack Obama to the White House — and a clearer path to victory than Biden, who’d struggled to galvanize the Democratic base,” it noted that the race was still a “toss-up” as Harris’ lead in the polls remained in the margin of error.

Bloomberg also warned that Harris could be experiencing a “honeymoon phase” as a new candidate and that her support could wane.

An Axios poll showed Harris with a 20-point lead over Trump among young voters between the ages of 18 and 34 this month, while her favorability rating also soared .

Nate Silver’s election model, however, still predicts a Trump victory over Harris in November.
