Living life in the moment is a beautiful thing, experiencing the here and now while exploring the beauties of life. Some people, however, look toward what the future may bring and wonder how much time they may have. Life expectancy can vary depending on where you live and whether you have access to factors impacting health like quality medical care , or clean water and healthy food.

The county, found in the northeastern region of the state, has an average life expectancy of 81.4 years, 3.2 years higher than the state average.

This is how Stacker determined its ranking of the counties with the longest life expectancy in the state:
"By delving into 2024 County Health Rankings & Roadmaps from the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, Stacker identified the counties with the longest life expectancy in Wisconsin. Life expectancy measures the average number of years from birth a person can expect to live and is calculated based on the number of deaths in a given time period and the average number of people at risk of dying during that period. Counties with unreliable or insufficient data were excluded from the analysis. Mortality data came from the National Vital Statistics System."
