1 seriously injured in Wise County shooting, authorities say
ST. PAUL, Va. (WCYB) — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a person seriously injured in Wise County on Thursday. Wise and Dickenson County deputies responded to the 5700 block of Creek Hill Road in St. Paul. Authorities said a person who was the focus of a child sex crime investigation entered a residence where he had been temporarily barred. Authorities said a family member tried to escort him from the property where an altercation ensued. During the altercation, two shots were fired, and one person was taken by helicopter for treatment of serious injuries.
