Pedestrian struck in alleged hit-and-run near GCU dies at hospital
PHOENIX — Detectives are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run incident Thursday that killed a pedestrian, the Phoenix Police Department said Friday. Police responded to the area at 35th Avenue and Camelback Road near Grand Canyon University where they found a pedestrian who had been seriously injured. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.

ABOR, NAU, 20 Arizona school districts form coalition to redesign high school
The Arizona Board of Regents, Northern Arizona University and several school districts are forming a coalition to redesign high school. CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. — Drinking water in the Chino Valley area does not appear to be threatened by a fuel release reported by Circle K earlier this year. An estimated 86,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline was reportedly released into the environment from a Circle K underground storage tank in Chino Valley. The release occurred over a period of about 18 days and was caused by a faulty component of the submersible turbine pump.
