Juvenile wanted for Attempted Murder arrested in Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – A juvenile fugitive wanted for attempted murder was arrested in the City of Binghamton by the Southern Tier SWAT Team.

On Tuesday, Members of the Broome County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division and the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force obtained information on the whereabouts of a 17-year-old female of Binghamton who was wanted for Attempted Murder in relation to a recent shooting.

The fugitive was tracked to locations on Floral Avenue and Chelsea Square in the City of Binghamton.

The Southern Tier SWAT team executed a search warrant at a residence on Floral Ave. before executing an arrest warrant at a residence on Chelsea Square. The juvenile was into custody without incident.

The juvenile was turned over to the Binghamton Police Department for processing. She will be arraigned on the warrant for the Attempted Murder charge and turned over to the custody of the Sheriff’s Office.

law enforcement to help ensure that safety.”

The Broome County Sheriff’s Office and the Southern Tier SWAT team was assisted by the
U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force and Binghamton Police.
