    Massive drug bust at Town of Union apartment

    ENDICOTT, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – An Endicott man was arrested last week after being the target of a narcotics search warrant.

    On September 26, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at 709 Christopher Avenue, Right side apartment in the Town of Union.

    The target of the search was Steven Whritenour, 43. He was present during the execution of the warrant.

    During the search, investigators located the following items:

    • Approximately 62.1 grams of Methamphetamine
    • Approximately 7.3 grams of Fentanyl
    • Approximately 219 of various Controlled Substance pills
    • Scale, packaging and cutting agent used to distribute narcotics
    • $170

    As a result, Whritenour was charged with the following:

    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a Class A-II
      Felony
    • Two Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third
      Degree, Class B Felonies
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C Felony
    • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, a Class D Felony
    • Five Counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree, Class
      A Misdemeanors

    Whritenour was arraigned and remanded to the Broome County Jail.

    The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force was assisted by member of the
    Village of Johnson City Police Department Road Patrol.
