Tioga falls to Delhi, Windsor remains hot

SOUTHERN TIER, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Well after their 1st loss in years, Tioga has just looked better than ever, still sitting at the 1 spot in Class D. Delhi has started 2-2, and were in for a tough task on the road.

On the opening drive of the game, Delhi’s Ian Johnson takes a pitch around the outside, slips through one defender, then another, and he is off to the races for a 55-yard touchdown run.
Tigers turn now, Jayden Duncanson drops back on a play-action fake and finds Lukas Nichols over the middle. It’s all green in front of him and he takes it to the house to tie the game at 7.
Back to the Bulldogs in the redzone, Zachery Cornell tosses it up to Rocco Schnaebel, who makes the one-handed catch through the contact for the score!

The Bulldogs would win the slugfest, 41-34.

Windsor has had a great start to their season, with only one close loss to Tioga. Vestal’s started 2-2, but they aren’t a team to take lightly. That combo equals one heck of a game.

Black Knights, hosting the Bears, looking to continue their hot season.
They’d find 6. Handoff to Tyson Schmidt and he’s able to take the lead for Windsor.
Vestal would look to answer. On the slant, it’s JT Gannon. He finds green grass and he’s on his horse. Stiff arms a defender but eventually gets wrapped up in the redzone.
They wouldn’t score, however, and the Knights make them pay. Ashton Werner on the keeper, he’ll take it home.

Windsor would take on the win, 48-20.
