    Two arrested in Binghamton weapons bust

    BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Two people were arrested in Binghamton on Saturday in a massive weapons bust.

    On October 12, at approximately 1:20 a.m., the Binghamton Police Community Response Team was investigating a suspicious vehicle at 69 Collier Street.

    During the investigation, officers determined that the vehicle was occupied by two men. A handgun was also seen in the car. Both men were removed from the vehicle and officers conducted a search of the car.

    As a result of the search, officers recovered a 9mm Hi-Point C9 handgun, a loaded 9mm ghost gun, and a loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson model 59 handgun. They also found a small amount of cocaine

    The men inside of the vehicle were identified as Osciano Swartz, 21, of New Hartford and Andre Cooper, 21, of Binghamton.

    Both men are facing the follows charges:

    • Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree
    • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree
    • Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree
    • Three counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm
    • Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree

    Swartz and Cooper were arraigned and released.

    "Swartz and Cooper were arraigned and released."and that's why these people think the law in NY is a joke.... because it is. they will be getting the worst if they get a few years probation, it will end in a year and a half, and they will still be selling drugs. Democrat policy in effect, for the people, of course
