Police respond to crash involving an RV and tractor trailer in Marathon

MARATHON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – New York State Police at Homer responded to a crash in the Town of Marathon on Friday.

Police were dispatched by the Cortland County 911 Center to a crash on Interstate 81 North.

The crash involved and RV and a tractor trailer. No injuries were reported. The RV sustained quite a bit of damage while the tractor trailer sustained minor damage.

An investigation determined that the operator of the RV failed to observe a tractor trailer had slowed in traffic due to a construction zone approximately a half a mile away.
